Can you ever have too many cable ties?

Even if you work in a environment
where cable ties are plentiful
or are the very orderly type
who always manages
to carry cable ties
why casually destroy them
when they can just as easily
be reused?
My last employer was out of stock
on cable ties;
For a solid month I
supplied my needs
by always carefully snipping
and preserving
every cable tie i touched
and scavenging the salvagable units
that littered the floor.
About half of these
randomly cut zip ties were useful.
When the other technician
suggested I somehow
had a secret stash of cable ties
I pointed to the floor
and told him that he was
walking on my secret stash.

This technique is especially useful
for repairs in the field.
