I met Eggy in 1995 in the men's room of the Yacht bar,
during the 50th Skerries race.
Eggy admired my Zeitgeist t-shirt
{the DeathBunny logo
is quite like the logo of some bar in Bristol}
I admired his Death cigarettes t-shirt
stunning proof of truth in advertising.
We swap shirts right then and there,
smile and part ways.
The next day i find him
walking the road back to camp and offer a lift.
Eggy hops on,
helmetless
with a nearly full pint of Guinness in his hand.
Drinking and driving
have never been so entertaining.
The rotary is a curiosity even in the U.K.,
and regularly attends race meets
in Ireland or the Isle of Man.
