In 1995 my slash two holed a piston in Wales,
and as a result i met John Lawes

I went to his shop to buy pistons
and casually recorded
this mysterious device.

In the clip i wrongly speculate
that it might be steam powered.

Oh, well.

Ignorance,

unlike stupidity,

is easily remedied.

John had just acquired the motorbike
from widow of the last owner,
a man who ran the machine only on petrol.
John declared his firm intention
to make the thing run on wood,
but every year during my visits
i would find the contraption
further in the back of the room.
